Ordering

You might be wondering how the process of ordering custom garage cabinetry from Design-Tex will work.

The first step of the process is totally up to you. You need to get an idea of what you want. How big would you like your unit or units to be? Where would you like them to go? What will you be storing?

Once you have an idea of what you need, give us a call. We will talk through the project with you and, if necessary, make arrangements to meet with you in person or take on-site measurements.

Within 5-10 business days, we will get back to you with a design for your project (including elevations and renderings) and a detailed quote. Once our quote is accepted production can begin almost immediately, expect your cabinets to be fully installed in 2-4 weeks from acceptance. contact us

Quality Materials

Our cabinets are constructed of high-grade industrial particleboard and finished on both sides with easy-to-clean thermo-fused melamine. The superior strength of the particleboard insures that the cabinets can withstand heavy loads and the extreme temperatures typical of a garage in the South while maintaining dimensional stability. Thermo-fused melamine interiors and exteriors resist stains and make cleaning the cabinets a breeze, while the standard light maple finish provides a clean, professional look.

Superior Construction Methods

We build our fully custom garage cabinets, and all of our cabinets, on the European 32mm system, utilizing the precision of computer- guided CNC equipment. The system's high-quality concealed hinges and no-center-post door insure easy access to the interior through a full-width opening as well as a clean, uncluttered look. Rugged construction also prepares our cabinets to take a beating and still look great. Cabinets are locked into a "Dado groove" for stability in front of rear, horizontal nailers, which are attached to the side panels using wood screws. Our sophisticated computer-guided CNC router pre-drills the side panels for an adjustable shelving system. Cast steel handles and 2mm PVC edge- banding finish off the professional look. This sturdy construction allows our cabinets to be mounted off the floor eliminating wooden toe kicks, which are often vulnerable to water damage and provide a popular hiding place for bugs, mice, and other pests, and metal legs which make cleaning the floor underneath the cabinet a hassle.

Our cabinets are completely custom-built. You don't have to adapt the size of your units to 3 inch increments as is often the case with other manufacturers. We build cabinets to your exact dimensional requirements, allowing you the flexibility to create a storage solution that meets your needs.
